NIL

Last July, the NCAA came out with guidelines regarding college athletes and their name, image, and likeness. NIL was born and for the past year, we've been able to work with some great businesses in Logan as they've represented Justin.

Taco Time created the Bean Burrito Combo and sponsored us while Justin and I put together our own basketball camp last fall. Justin was in a commercial for Taco Time and we got to visit Logan last week for one more appearance.

Justin is so loved by his USU fans. He's an amazing basketball player & an even better person. He takes time to be with people & remember them. That's one of the things I love most about him. It was so fun to watch all of the different people visit Taco Time to see Justin & hear him remember their names & ask about specific things relative to each individual. We love people & it's been so fun for me to connect and create relationships through Justin's basketball.

Doug & Kathy are the owners of Taco Time and are some of the nicest people. We've loved getting to know them over the last year.

We got to see the Whites, one of our favorite couples from our Logan ward!

Dwight & Joyce also stopped by & it was fun to visit with them. We're giving Andrew as much exposure to Logan as possible so he'll be ready to be an Aggie one day :')

Our other NIL deal was with the USU Credit Union. The CU is right on campus and for years I had given facts about the business as I've walked past the building. This year, I could finally say I had my own USUCU account & we enjoyed working with their great staff.

Justin recorded a radio ad for a student credit card last week as well. He's a natural!

Justin did a few appearances as well for the Credit Union & has his billboard on I-15 northbound by Brigham City. He's used to the attention from fans but did say it's surreal & a little weird to see yourself on a billboard. Ha!

One of his appearances from last winter.

We can't say enough great things about Taco Time and the USU Credit Union. NIL was a brand new thing & we're grateful for the support that came from it.

While we were in Logan for the day, Coach Odom was in the middle of his summer camps. We stopped by & saw some of Justin's former teammates and coaching staff. This is his trainer, Leah. We love her!!

Alongside our local deals with businesses, we ran a basketball camp last fall. We'd never planned our own camp and it was fun to get it all ready together. We designed T-shirts, planned drills, ordered trophies, and with the help of some friends, it all came together.

We had been at a family reunion in Bear Lake the day before so Andrew and some cousins were able to come & play.

I forgot to put this picture in an earlier post. Logan High School basketball teams - Justin went and spoke to them before their playoff games in February.

Looking back at these pictures brings me a lot of gratitude. We've been so, so blessed to have the support of community, family, and friends.
