This night was one of those really, really good nights where I'm glad I got out of the house even though staying in seemed a lot cozier!
Justin and Logan dropped me off at Max Schmeling Halle where I met some ladies for our first handball game. Walli has made a goal to visit all of the local sports teams in Berlin, & we checked this one off her list!
The usual five minute drive to the arena turned into 15 as we crawled behind the tram in a BLIZZARD!!! I've never seen snow like this in Berlin and it made me giddy.
I met up with Celia, Suzy, and Walli and we trekked through the snow-covered parking lot to the entrance. The flakes were big and beautiful and I couldn't have been happier.
Justin's team has plays at Max Schmeling occasionally, but tonight everyone was dressed in green & the drums were playing for Füchse Berlin.
It was fun being out with good friends & not having to worry about entertaining Logan during a sporting event. As excited as I was about the handball, I was even more excited to get back out to the snow.
We stopped a couple of times to take in the beauty. It was SO quiet. All you could hear was the crunch of everyone walking on tightly packed snowflakes.
After a quick tram ride, I went out of the storm into our apartment building. I love where we live. It feels safe retreating into our warm, cozy apartment.
& I came home to a sweet surprise from my valentine. That's a wrap!
