We have a little "supper club" that gets together a couple of times a month to try a new restaurant. We've done Indian, Russian, American, and pizza. This particular evening, Walli suggested Gasthaus Krombach and wow. The best German food I've had here.
With a little German rote grütze for dessert.
Logan is learning new things every day. He is so smart and I love watching his brain go to work. He currently loves sorting clothes, blanket, and chairs. Ha! Pushing and organizing the kitchen chairs around the floor easily keep him entertained for 20 minutes.
We were able to utilize another off-day and head back to our Freiburg Temple. The day felt a little less emotionally draining since we knew the routine and what to expect. Equally as spiritually filling as our first visit. <3 I am so thankful for temples on the Earth.
I go and do my session in the temple while Justin watches Logan, then we switch. The weather was in the mid 50's and felt so nice! We went for a walk & played at a small playground Justin found earlier.
No baby swings this time, so Logan and I did it together. It was one of those pure joy motherhood moments. Logan was in heaven and his laugh was the cutest thing while we swung together. I love him.
Then he started screaming when it was time to go & I saw an older couple looking out of their window with concerned eyes... Ha!
My people forever and ever because of Jesus Christ and the covenants we made in the temple.
Second haircut for this baby!
Timna works one street over from us & we've gotten to meet her for lunch a couple of times. I'm so thankful for good friends! I remember sitting at our kitchen table our first week in Berlin thinking, I'm so excited to have friends here. I hope we can make some fast. Timna's family were some of the first to reach out and really help me feel comfortable coming to church alone while Justin traveled.
We're not leaving Berlin for a long time, but I'm already mourning not having bakeries like these on every corner. :')
Found some Detroit deep dish pizza & gave it a try!
Logan is not a cuddler & will squirm out of your arms the second you get him... Until recently! He learned how to give "squeezes" and it's one of our favorite things.
Our puzzle game is going strong!! After putting Logan to bed, Justin and I get some treats, music, and do our puzzle together. It's been one of my favorite parts of our days while he's not traveling.
Monthly doctor checkup for Logan. Almost done with all of his vaccines! He loves going to the pediatrician because he knows he will see other babies there.
I had the best surprise the other night when my Memphis girls FaceTimed me!!! Their baby boys are one day apart & 4 months younger than Logan. There were five of us girls ALL pregnant with baby boys at the same time in our Memphis branch. How crazy.
& in other exciting news... I'm finally training for the Berlin Half Marathon!! I signed up last June since it fills up so quickly and now it's only 7 weeks away. I would rather do my at home Youtube workouts than run outside, but it pushes me and this half marathon has been on my bucket list for a long time.
This picture was after my first run. 3 miles down! Lots more to go. <3 I'm proud of myself & thankful for my body.
