The second half of our Oklahoma visit was filled with cousin time! Both of Justin's brothers came home from their road trips to Utah and Idaho. Logan and Emery were sooo happy to finally be reunited (and meet for the first time)!
We doubled down and got about 95% of our patriotic puzzle done one night.
We got to visit one of our all-time favorite restaurants. Right when we were walking down this sidewalk into the restaurant, our agent Ross called to confirm and offer congratulations on us signing another contract with Alba Berlin. What a rollercoaster that decision making process has been.
Lots of phone calls, researching teams, zoom interviews, prayers, and going with our gut to get to this outcome! We're excited to return back to Berlin for another year.
Dude Perfect came to the Paycom Center and it was so fun!!! Justin came down with a fever the day before and wasn't able to come. Shauna, Erin, and I felt a little out of our element walking into the arena with everyone and their 10-year-old kids. Ha!
It was such a fun show!! Ty, Abby, Maddie, and Carter joined us too.
Justin and I have spent our fair share of nights on the couch in Berlin watching their YouTube videos. It was surreal to see them in real life.
... and to have Ty doing most of the trick shots in the aisle of our row! I leaned over everyone, high-fived him and said, "You high-fived my mom in Utah!" It was so loud in the arena. I know he didn't hear me when he responded, "thank you". Ha!
My favorite part of the whole show was afterward. The Dudes and the Savannah Bananas gathered on the stage and shared their testimonies of Jesus Christ and His grace for us.
Then, we all sang "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake. It was the coolest feeling ever. Looking at thousands of other people, swaying and singing about our Savior in Oklahoma. Grateful to live in a country that has religious freedom & where many are Christian.
We had a pretty good morning routine that included working out, playing on the playground, then swimming in the pool until lunchtime!
Finished our sewing project and got Logan an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey! Which he didn't take off for a few days afterwards...
And too soon, it was all over. We blinked and we were back at the airport. We love visiting Mema, Papa, and Erin in Oklahoma. This airport trip went a little differently than the rest.
Gordon, Shauna, Erin, and Justin dropped us off at the airport then started their drive to Utah the next morning. They drove all of Erin's classroom stuff & our boxes we have been storing since we lived in Memphis, to Utah.
The kids did great on the flight and we made it safely to SLC again. The best, best OK trip. <3
