Norge!!

We went to Norway!! Never did I ever think when my mom went back to visit her mission, I would get to come along too. She and Dad were in London for a few days before Logan and I planned to meet them in Bergen.

Thankfully, my doctor gave me the go ahead to travel at 27 weeks. Justin was out of town and not able to bring us to the airport. I broke up the travel of the trip into milestones leading up to arriving in Norway. Logan was a trooper thankfully & Heavenly Father gave me strength to do everything I needed to do.

Parking in a new parking garage.

Finding a luggage cart.

Packing up Logan's car seat, our three backpacks, a stroller, & a toddler.

Wheeling the stroller and cart in each hand all the way to the security desk while promising Logan snacks if he stayed in his stroller.

Once we made it to security and the car seat was checked, I felt like I could breathe. Doing all of this normally would be fine, but being 27 weeks pregnant and already feeling so big with back pain added some stress to the situation. I can't pick up Logan anymore, so I'm very thankful when he listens to me and doesn't run away. :')

The flight was direct & we Logan did great(!!).

We grabbed our luggage (which was covered in bubbles from another passenger's bag) and waited outside baggage claim for Mom and Dad to arrive.

It was such a happy reunion! I kept telling Logan we were going to see Gigi and Grandpa but I think he was expecting a FaceTime call, not to see them walking towards him in real life.

I love my parents!!!!

From the moment we saw them until we left, Logan was in good hands and I was so grateful to relax and enjoy being together.

Bergen was beautiful, green, and rainy! I had to take a picture of this McDonald's for Justin (where we ended up eating lunch). It's fun to try the different products each restaurant has in different countries.

We took the Fløibanen up to the beautiful lookout.

My baby!! How is he this big? Logan is such a good boy. He's a great listener and traveling this time with him was so fun.

There were mountain goats and lots of forest trails to walk around on.

I had to keep pinching myself. We were in NORWAY together!!

We spent the rest of our time walking around Bergen, enjoying the colored houses & pretty streets.

Above the houses, on the right is the funicular we took to the top of the city. It was just so beautiful. I loved being there.

Logan eagerly waited for Grandpa to come and get him out of bed each morning so they could read tractor books together and go outside for walks. <3

We went and found the church in the city.

While driving, we saw a pretty castle and ended up on the grounds of the first king of Norway. It was a fun, unplanned detour.

Everywhere you looked, there was so much beauty.

We left Bergen and headed to Tysvær for the night. Norway is surrounded by fjords. We got to drive our car on a couple of ferries and get out to admire the landscape while we floated across the water. Not a bad way to travel if you ask me!

Our cozy bnb was tucked away in the mountains. We watched Darci Facer's funeral and played Play Nine before going to bed. We ended up playing that every night and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Good conversation & a family favorite game.

We drove the most beautiful route to Stavanger. I couldn't believe the landscape. & we had blue skies!! Some of the first since we arrived.

We got to sit in on Norwegian Stake Conference in a building where Mom attended as a missionary. Logan was dead asleep so he laid on my shoulder as we walked in. I was hoping he would stay asleep, but as soon as we sat down, he popped up and said, "More crackers?" haha.

We had some yummy burgers and Snickers shakes for lunch. Dad ordered a single scoop of vanilla ice cream for Logan and it kept him entertained and happy the whole time. That's what grandpas are for.

We drove out to Sola Beach. I love going to the beach any day, rain, wind, or shine! It was beautiful with white sand.

Our last excursion in Stavanger was taking a Fjord ride to see Preikestolen from the water. It was rainy and cold, but still breathtaking!

You can see the top of Preikestolen in the clouds.

There was some of this going on too when the rain and fjords didn't appeal to some... Ha! Thank you Toy Story and Miss Rachel.

Mom and Dad dropped off Logan and I for nap time so they could go and hike to the top of Preikestolen. They're amazing! This is when Mom did it as a missionary. Yes, that's her sitting on the edge.

It makes me nervous just looking at it.

Thankfully, they stayed much farther away from the edge this time.

Packing up and sitting around the table playing games for our final night was surreal. I couldn't believe our adventure was over. It was the biggest blessing to hop over to Norway and spend those five days with my parents. Logan and I are so lucky. <3

We all flew to Amsterdam together before heading our separate ways. Logan again, was my best little travel buddy and did so well.

I breathed a big sigh of relief when we sat down in our car and started driving home. I'm so thankful for the enabling power of Jesus Christ. Both physically & mentally to help me stay calm and do all of that while pregnant! What a trip.

Here was Logan about 2 minutes into our car drive.
