Baby Girl Bean

We went to see Alexandra last week for our 10-week appointment. During the exam, I asked her how early we could know the gender. She told us we would be able to do a blood test that day for a grand total of 15 euros. Woohoo! Way better than the $100+ it would've cost at home.

We did the test & began the 7-10 day wait for our results.

Yesterday, I was talking to Courtlyn on FaceTime, and told her I was going to refresh my email. It had been one week & maybe the results were in...

15 seconds and a lot of excited screams later revealed the results were in my inbox!!! We scrambled to get everyone else on a FaceTime call so we could open the email.

Justin and I nervously sat on the corner of the couch. Logan was nearby, playing with the blue ball and pink balloon Justin had grabbed to have on hand for our spontaneous reveal haha.

We opened the pdf and saw lots of little German words. My mind was racing and I was trying to find anything that resembled "boy" or "girl". Dad suggested translating the page. The translation didn't help much, until we saw the word "female". Our little baby bean is a girl!!!

Except we didn't know if we could trust the wording of the translation, so I ran downstairs to Ludwig and Marlies' apartment. They confirmed Baby is indeed a girl & I ran back up the stairs to tell Justin.

We're thrilled!! Surprised & excited. I honestly didn't have any intuition because I thought Logan was 100% a girl and was wrong about that haha.

It's been so happy and fun to share the news with friends and family. We're so thankful to have another sweet spirit joining our family at the end of the year.

Baby girl, you are soooooo loved already.
